Bosnia and Herzegenovia are informally referred to as the country of Bosnia. Located in Southeast Europe, Bosnia is located towards the inland while Herzegenovia is on the southern tip. Tracing heritage back to the Neolithic Age, this region was later settled by the Slavic people. Bosnia and Herzegovina then became part of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. Bosnia and Herzegovina became a country at the dissolution of Yugoslavia on March 1, 1992.
