Located outside Hurricane Alley in the Caribbean Sea, is Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba. It is believed these islands were discovered in 1499 by Spanish explorers, and later settled by the Dutch in 1636. Originally these 3 islands were part of the Netherland Antilles, and are now part of a special municipality as of 2010. East access to island reefs have made this territory a popular scuba and snorkeling destination.
