Accurate, up-to-date public holidays, bank holidays, and observances in Denmark for 2026 ready to be integrated into your application.

Denmark’s history can be traced back to sometime during the 8th century. In 1397, Denmark was part of the Kalmar Union, until 1523. The areas of both Denmark and Norway were then ruled by the same monarch until 1814. Located in Northern Europe, Denmark’s region consists of a peninsula, Jutland, an archipelago of 433 named islands, as well as (Faroe Island and Greenland), two autonomous constituent countries in the North Atlantic Ocean. The Constitution of Denmark was signed on June 5, 1849, ending the absolute monarchy and then establishing a constitutional monarchy with an organized parliamentary democracy.
